My 101 followers Medium Journey

I have been writing on Medium since July’21. And Yes today 20 Feb’22, I have completed 101 followers, published 23 stories + didn’t follow any quick hacks!

Since the time I began writing on medium I have learnt a lot about content creation and audience’s thought process in general.

My first blog didn’t do well and infact way below my expectations but every blog gave me a few learnings:

1. Be Patient :

Patience indeed is the only way to go when you start blogging. No blog will sky rocket the number of likes and follows overnight. Every day you’ll see some positive growth and letting things flow on their own pace is the only way to go!

2. Do not look for Shortcuts :

There are thousands of hacks available online , to make your followers grow within a short span if time. But trust me they will neve give you the amount of happiness for which you had started blogging. Having said that I believe you have not started blogging for followers only xD ;) .

3. Be confident :

Your writing should always be sure of the facts it carries and not be vague on expression. Be sure that your writing is your own and not of anyone else. One can always take ideas from different sites, add facts and figures but do not copy other writes content !

4. Express yourself :

Your writing should always be vocal of the thoughts of the writer. Your personal opinions, beliefs ,connect with you links (linkedIn , twitter etc) should definitely be added to make your article your own! Don’t forget to use specific keywords and add reference links for articles you have referred to!

Last but not the least !

5. Enjoy the process :

Your writing will definitely reach their target audience! There will be a time when you see growth without personal effort of sending your articles to friends or family , connect with new people with similar mindsets, learn new skills as you blog and trust the process!
